Find firm mobile number by GSTIN becomes much more manageable when the firm turns out to be a limited liability partnership. LLPs combine features of partnerships and companies: partners run the business, but the LLP is a separate legal entity registered with the corporate registry, with designated partners who are responsible for its compliance. That registry record gives you names, an official email and a registered office, which are exactly the anchors you need to find and confirm a mobile number for the people who run the firm.
This guide explains how to recognise an LLP from its GST record, what its corporate record contains, how designated partners differ from other partners, and how to use that information to reach a partner by mobile appropriately.
In the public GST search, the constitution of business for an LLP reads limited liability partnership. The sixth character of the GSTIN, the fourth of the PAN, is F, the same as for ordinary firms. The legal name ends with LLP, which is a required part of the name.
That distinction matters because an LLP, unlike an ordinary firm, has a public record in the corporate registry. Ordinary partnership firms need different methods.

Every LLP has an LLP identification number, known as the LLPIN. Its master data on the official corporate affairs portal shows the LLP’s name, status, date of incorporation, registered office address, the email address on record and the list of designated partners with their identification numbers and appointment dates. LLPs also file annual returns and statements of accounts, which can be viewed through the portal’s public document service for a fee.
The registered office and the official email are formal channels the LLP is expected to monitor.
Every LLP must have at least two designated partners, who are responsible for its legal compliance. Many small LLPs have only two partners in total, both designated, so the list in the registry is the full list of people running the business. Larger LLPs may have other partners too, who share in the business but are not listed as designated partners.
For most commercial contact, a designated partner of a small LLP is the decision maker. In larger LLPs, ask which partner handles your matter.

Start with the LLP’s own publications: website, letterhead, invoices and catalogues often list partners with mobiles. Your own records, such as emails and onboarding forms, may hold signatures with direct numbers. Searching a partner’s name together with the LLP’s name can surface professional profiles or event listings showing a business mobile.
If none of these works, write to the official email address on record, addressed to the designated partners by name, stating who you are, the GSTIN concerned and your purpose, and asking for the best phone contact. This is a courteous, legitimate route that usually gets a reply.

When you have a mobile, confirm it with a short call: ask for the partner by name and mention the LLP’s trade name. Record the number against the LLP’s GSTIN with the partner’s name, role and the date confirmed. If the LLP has several GSTINs across states, record partner contacts at the head office registration, and branch contacts against their own GSTINs.
Partners’ identification numbers and names in the registry are public for accountability, but their mobiles are personal. Use a partner’s mobile for business with the LLP, at reasonable hours, and keep it within the team that needs it. Do not use registry names to look up partners’ personal details from unofficial sources for unsolicited approaches.

Designated partners are appointed and leave over time, and changes are filed with the registry. If a partner you dealt with no longer appears in the master data, ask the LLP who now handles your account. Check the registry status too: an LLP that has been struck off or is under closure will not be trading normally.
The corporate record removes much of the guesswork. You know who the designated partners are, where the registered office is and which email the LLP has declared. Combined with the GST record’s places of business, that is usually enough to find a mobile or to get one by asking politely.
