Enrich GSTIN with mobile number offers are easy to compare on price and hard to compare on quality. Every provider says its matches are accurate, every sample looks clean, and the only way most buyers discover the real quality is after a campaign has burned through wrong numbers. There is a better way, and it uses something almost every business already has: a set of GSTINs for which you already know the correct mobile number.
This guide describes a known-answer test. You take customers or suppliers whose mobiles you have confirmed, send only their GSTINs to the provider, and compare what comes back with what you know. The comparison gives you hard measures of accuracy and coverage before you spend money on a full list. Combined with a short call test on the rest, it tells you exactly what you are buying.
A provider’s sample is chosen by the provider. Even with good intentions, it tends to include well-known businesses with plenty of public information, where matching is easy. Your real list may be full of small proprietors in towns with little online presence, where matching is hard. Results on one say little about the other.
Even a pilot on your own list can mislead if you judge it by eye. A returned mobile number looks equally convincing whether it is right or wrong. Only a comparison with a known correct answer, or a call, reveals the truth.

Pick GSTINs from your own records where you are confident of the correct mobile: active customers you call regularly, suppliers whose owners you deal with, dealers onboarded with verified forms. The mobile should have been confirmed recently by a conversation or a reply, not merely copied from an old ledger.
Make the key resemble your real target list as closely as you can. If your target list is mostly small traders in two states, the key should be mostly small traders in those states. A key full of large companies will flatter any provider.
Mix the answer-key GSTINs into a larger file of GSTINs you do not know, so the provider cannot tell which rows are being tested. Send only GSTINs, plus any fields you would normally send, such as names and cities. Never send the mobiles you already hold; the point is to see what the provider finds independently.
When the file comes back, separate the answer-key rows and compare the returned mobile with the one you know. Record each row as correct, wrong, or no mobile returned.

Two measures matter. Coverage is the share of answer-key rows for which the provider returned any mobile at all. Accuracy is the share of returned mobiles that match your known correct mobile. A provider with high coverage but low accuracy is filling rows with guesses. A provider with high accuracy but low coverage is cautious and reliable, but may leave too many gaps.
If the provider supplies confidence levels, score each level separately. A good provider’s high-confidence rows should be far more accurate than its low-confidence rows. If they are not, the confidence levels mean nothing.
The answer key tells you about rows like the ones you already know. For the unknown rows in the test file, run a short call test: pick a random selection of returned mobiles, call them, and ask for the business by its trade name or the owner by name. Record whether the business confirmed the number.
If call-test accuracy is similar to answer-key accuracy, you can trust the measures. If it is much lower, your answer key may be easier than your real list, and the call-test figure is the one to rely on.

Run the same test file through every provider you are considering and score them identically. Then work out the cost of each correct mobile: the price of the job divided by the number of returned mobiles that are likely to be right, using the accuracy you measured. This single figure combines price, coverage and accuracy, and it usually reorders a list of quotes.
Look beyond the numbers as well. Did the provider deliver on time, in a usable format, with sources and dates? Did it answer questions about how matches were made? A provider that scores well and communicates clearly is worth more than one that scores slightly higher but explains nothing.

Your answer key contains confirmed mobiles of real customers and suppliers. Do not send it to any provider, store it securely, and use it only for testing. Refresh it from time to time as contacts change, so that it remains a fair standard for future tests.
Quality can drift between deliveries. Include a small slice of the answer key, hidden among real rows, in later orders as well. If accuracy falls, raise it with the provider early, using your measurements rather than impressions. Providers take specific, measured feedback seriously, and buyers who measure tend to receive better data.
